Job Description

Position Objective:

As an Administrative Assistant in the Production Department, you will help support the Production Department as well as the Publications and Merchandise Departments, as needed. These departments coordinate and produce printed materials, including animal rights literature and booklets, certificates, demonstration posters and props, and advertisement.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform clerical duties for the Production, Publications and Merchandise teams

• Prepare check and credit card expense reports, ensuring prompt payment of all invoices

• Run departmental errands

• Maintain department print archives

• Perform general correspondence

• Assist with the organization of department Sharepoint, FTP and Dropbox sites

• Assist with the coordination of small in-house print projects (scheduling, routing and archiving)

• Assist Production Coordinators with project-specific research

• Assist with updating the departments' standard operating procedures

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor



• High school diploma or GED

• One year of office experience

• Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite

• Demonstrated effective research skills

• Demonstrated organizational skills, reliability, and accuracy

• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to deal with PETA members and the public in a professional and courteous manner

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
