Job Description

Position Objectives:

• To assist with and coordinate audio-visual production tasks

• To assist with overseeing the daily operations of the Audio/Visual (A/V) Department

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by the PETA Foundation and its affiliates:

• Delegate and assign tasks to video editors, videographers, and assistants

• Participate in the creation, quality control, and timely completion of A/V requests for a wide range of campaigns for the PETA Foundation and its affiliates

• Use independent judgment and discretion to coordinate video and photo shoots

• Ensure proper and legal use of media

• Assist the department managers in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the A/V Department, including but not limited to:

• Manage staff scheduling and timecards

• Maintain department calendar

• Maintain department databases

• Maintain department account subscriptions

• Participate in recruitment of new staff members

• Participate in staff evaluations and strategize performance goals

• Purchase supplies and equipment

• Ensure that office space and equipment is in working order

• Evaluate and make recommendations for updates to the department's workflow, equipment, and procedures in order to ensure efficiency and technical currency

• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Qualifications:

• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Minimum of two years of management work experience

• Minimum of one year of A/V work experience

• Proven effective written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to deal professionally with staff members and the public

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record
