Job Description

Position Objective:

To cultivate and maintain PETA and peta2’s relationships with social media influencers with the goal of creating exciting and dynamic partnerships and content.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Seek out and develop professional relationships with talent, publicists, and managers in order to set up cross-promotional partnerships for PETA and peta2

• Act as PETA and peta2’s primary representative to social media influencers by conducting office tours and on-camera interviews, overseeing photo and video shoots

• Research current trends in online culture and ensure that PETA and peta2’s influencer--related content reflects those trends

• Identify and pursue opportunities for influencer and talent representative outreach, regularly attending performances, festivals and events

• Work with internal departments and international affiliates to coordinate production and launch of PETA and peta2's influencer projects

• Work closely with social media and Online Video Labs teams to define PETA’s online presence and extend reach

• Travel when necessary to represent PETA and peta2 at concerts, festivals, industry events, conferences, and other events

• Maintain PETA’s database of celebrity and industry contacts

• Coordinate gifts for talent and industry professionals

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

 

Qualifications:

• Degree in a related field or relevant experience

• Minimum of two years of entertainment industry experience working with bands, celebrities or social media influencers

• Extensive knowledge of and interest in current trends and youth culture

• Extensive knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Working knowledge of social media influencers

• Experience coordinating photo and/or video shoots is preferred

• Proven ability to work with limited supervision

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines

• Willingness and ability to travel when needed

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record

• Must have a car and ability to drive for work

• Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to advocate PETA's positions on animal rights issues professionally
