The Medical Assistant will assist clinicians and medical staff to provide thorough, up-to-date care and perform a broad range of clinical administrative duties. When illness is the result of nutrition or lifestyle, addressing these causes is our priority. Essential functions and specific duties include: Clinical patient care Take patient histories Perform procedures and tests including phlebotomy Clinical administration Document notes in EHR (Athena) Coordinate referrals, diagnostics, prescriptions, and procedures Maintain equipment and supplies Cross-train and assist with front office duties as needed Patient education Assist with online and in-person nutrition education programs Train patients on proper usage of health monitoring devices Clinical research Assist with research protocols including participant assessments and group education and support classes  This is a full-time position based in Washington, D.C.
